When you are scouting cities for possible relocation, one of the first things to consider are the prices of homes. People currently living in Brampton houses might want to know what the money they get for the sale would buy them in the city of Cleveland. Let's take a look at what house prices are doing at your average zip in Cleveland and compare that to some other markets.
First, consider the average price of Windsor homes. Located in the heart of one of the biggest cities on the continent, the average real estate here is certainly not cheap. You can expect to pay in excess of $500,000 for the homes here, many of which are built in the same style.
Compare that to neighborhoods in Cleveland and their real estate, and your eyes just might pop out of your head. Sale of that home in Riverdale or even Erin real estate in Toronto will get you enough money to buy a whole street in some areas of Cleveland. We're not joking about this either; communities such as Kamm's Corners commonly have large houses similar to those in Riverdale listed for under $70,000!
That's fine, you might say, but Toronto and Cleveland aren't comparable as far as population. Well, why don't we turn to the Mississauga listings for a better comparison population wise? Both cities have between 500,000 and 650,000 residents, but the markets again are far from similar. Remember that Mississauga and Toronto have grown into each other so much that for many, the names are interchangeable. Again, you will find that although home prices in Mississauga aren't as high as in Toronto, you can still upgrade considerably if you move to Cleveland and live the rest of your life mortgage free.
Not all real estate in Cleveland is as inexpensive as houses in Mount Pleasant, West Boulevard, and other areas. In Neighborhoods such as Tremont, you will find real estate comparable to what you would find Brampton houses selling for. Generally speaking though, you can still get quite an upgrade for the same price even in the more expensive communities of Cleveland.
No matter where you are coming from, whether it's some Milton Ontario real estate or a Fishkill NY home, you can bet you'll find a similar home at a much lower price in Cleveland. It's just the way the city's real estate market has gone over the last few decades.
